Next Indiana ASCD Report will be issued in January
Next Indiana ASCD eNews will be issued in November
In addition to communicating Indiana ASCD news and information about its activities, programs, and events, Indiana ASCD Report and Indiana ASCD eNews publish articles and contain information relevant to Indiana educators that are research-based and give practical guidance that readers can use to improve practice. In general, for the Indiana ASCD Report, we look for conversational manuscripts (500-2,000 words) that are insightful and helpful to K-12 educators. Examples from classroom experience are appreciated. Articles to be considered for January publication must be submitted by December 1, and articles to be considered for May publication must be submitted by April 1.
Beginning in November, the focus of the Indiana ASCD eNews will be the ASCD Whole Child program components. Each month will feature programs, practices, information and professional development around a component, as well as highlight educators, schools and districts that exemplify the Whole Child philosophy. We encourage colleagues, schools and districts to submit articles for the eNews. Submissions should be 500-1,000 words and demonstrate application of the whole child components that would be helpful to K-12 educators. To be considered for publication, submissions must be received by the first day of the month of the component addressed. The component for November is "Healthy" with submissions due by November 1st. The component for December is "Safe" with submissions due by December 1st.
